Well...we had an amazing weekend this past week at the student prayer advance. This year it was in Bradley, WV. A lot closer than last year in NC!! But there were 4 of us that went, Olivia, Amy, Dad, and I. We had a great time and already can't wait to go back next year! So here's some pictures of what went on.
Cafeteria first day for dinner, we discovered that when we moved the water pitcher around we were able to create a man on the table. It was very humorous.
Some people eating. The girls got to go first on the first night, because we sang a song that night and then on friday the guys went first cause they were singing.
My wonderful daddy <3 Who also happened to let me drive to WV and back and on the way home from Deep Creek. :D
We were at Appalachian Bible College and they have a motto "...Because Life is for Service" Very good..and went right along with what we were learning. The speakers referred to it several times.
This is Rhee, she's very nice. I've worked with her at the Mens Prayer advance before. She's from Georgia.
This is Sara...we kinda met this year...outside. I was just waiting outside for the rest of the group to get caught up with me so we could go eat, and she walked up to me said "Hi I'm Sara...can't I eat with you?" I was like sure! So she ate with us every meal after that too..haha.. She is from VA and said she actually goes to church with the Vaughans. The family that owns/runs Christ Life Minstries and hosts all the Prayer Advances.
The Calvary Singers from Calvary Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA. They're there every year and they sing for us. Its great!
This year along with the group of singers they also had a guys quartet that they said they started in January. They sang some really good songs.
There were two speakers, Brian Schaffer, and Mark Hopkins. They were both really good and had really good messages. One night after a session Dad and I got to talk to Mr. Schaffer and he was telling us how he worked as an evangelist for Neighborhood Bible Time and how he was homeschooled. It was neat to hear his story.
Well thats all the pictures that I have. I know I didn't take alot and I can't believe I didn't take a picture of the rooms we stayed in. Since it was at a college we stayed in dorm rooms. The dorm Amy Oliva and I stayed in had just been built and they said probably 0-2 people have stayed in the rooms before. So it was really clean. The bathrooms were really clean too! Although..the first night we ran out of paper towels..but that was cause there were no tissues or anything in the room and sometimes the half night of prayer gets emotional. So everyone on the bottom floor were grabbing the papertowels. But when those were gone we could always go to the toilet paper. :D It was nice too because the dorms we stayed in had A/C and all the other buildings didn't. So God had that all planned out that we wouldn't die while we were there. :D
But Amy and Oliva roomed together and I stayed in a room with a girl from another church, her name was Hannah, she was really nice and friendly. But we didn't get to talk much so I didn't get to find out much about her other than she had a sister in the room down the hall. So that was the weekend..I'll blog later about deep creek. :D I can't believe how fast this year is going and that its already August!! This is crazy! I love my laptop too because I took a total of 10 seconds to upload 5 pictures that wern't shrunk. Its amazing. And this internet signal from across the street is great too!! Well better get to work!
