A while ago, in October, my friend Christina sent me an email asking me if I'd take pictures of her and her boyfriend, Simon, for Christmas gifts.
I was hesitant to say yes at first. I have taken boyfriend girlfriend pictures before, and it can get awkward when I ask them to do something they may not be comfortable doing.
But why say no? lol
Geez. Friends who will pay for pictures are the best.
About 15 minutes into their pictures, I said something like "Well you two aren't engaged yet so..."
Christina looked at Simon and said "Well, actually we are. :) "
Little did I know, Simon had proposed just a few days before.
And I am just so incredibly focused (haha), I didn't notice the engagement ring on her hand.
Once it was let out, and I squealed a few times, everything in my eyes changed.
I suddenly knew how to pose them, tell then what to do, and be extremely happy.
Simon had proposed to Christina the night after they had attended the wedding of two of their very good friends. So naturally, I asked them to dance thinking that's what people do at weddings right?
They both said "We've never danced together before."
There's a first time for everything. :)
So with no one around, but me, they had their first dance in the woods at Oak Hollow Park.
I've known these two lovely people for about 2 years now. I first met them when I started attending a Young Adults Bible Study in Scottdale, which is led by Simon's mother.
And if there were ever two amazing godly people that were meant to be together, it is them.
Half way through our time, we realized we were being followed...by ducks!
They were so curious!
So I mentioned godly, but they are also so much fun and made me laugh so many times.
And that is the tale. One day they will be married and be the happiest couple on earth. :)
