So the thanksgiving we had this year was great! Even though it was the norm, same people, same place, same food, and even though it didn't even FEEL like thanksgiving, nevertheless it was. And we had a good time. All of us kids spent the morning watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade...which we all agreed that this year was like the most uneventful parade ever...there were not many performances, almost all the same floats, and even the balloons were ones we had seen before. Last year it was kind of exciting when the "Fosters house of imaginary characters" I think it's called had a rick-roll in the middle of their performance. It was halarious! Its on youtube if you look it up. Anyway, at the end of the parade it did make my day hearing Kermit the Frog sing. :D I love the muppets and that was just the greatest! Then of course after the parade is the dog show...which we didn't watch, because we always get in trouble when we do...haha..too long watching tv. Stephen Ruby and I then made the place cards for the table..which are the tepee's below. Amy helped when they didn't want to color them anymore. I must say making 18 tepees is a difficult job. Especially when you keep running out of tape. Anyways...Mom had the turkey cooking all morning it the house smelled just wonderfully delicious. She had also made the Sweet Potato Casserole and Stuffing the night before. She's a super mom!! <3 Amy and Emma peeled potatoes (below) for the mashed potatoes. Dad carved the turkey and everyone came on in for dinner around 4:30. Aunt Dawn and Lydia had made pumpkin pies and bread..yum! and Meme made green bean casserole and cole slaw (a family tradition I still don't understand!)We had a good meal and a good time spent with family.
i LOVE the teepees !! they are SO colorful & creatiful !!
